If we consume more than we need we gain weight, consume less and we lose weight. Lipotrim works by maximising the calorie gap - the difference between what calories you consume and what you need. The extra calories needed are taken from the bodies own reserves - mainly fat. You are not actually living on reduced Calories; you are only changing where you obtain those calories. HOW MUCH WEIGHT WILL I LOSE?During the first week you can expect to lose on average about 7lbs, but this can be considerably higher. This is down to large fluid loses as the body uses up it's stores of glycogen (from muscle and the liver). Your body then enters a mild state of Ketosis. It is impossible for people who are complying with the diet not to lose weight. The body needs about 800 Calories just to keep the body temperature up. In subsequent weeks you can expect a weight loss of around 3-5lbs per week for Men and 2-4 lbs per week for women. KETOSISThe body, when not dieting, uses mostly sugar for energy rather than fat. With Lipotrim the sugar content of the diet is kept deliberately low so that the body's own sugar stores get used up quickly. Fat then becomes the major source of energy. During this process the body acts in a state of ketosis. When fat is burnt rapidly, the body produces substances from the fat called 'ketones' and the person is said to be in 'ketosis'. The mild ketosis produced by the Lipotrim formula has a number of advantages i.e hunger is reduced and a feeling of well being is often experienced. Ketones can be detected in the urine of dieters and provides encouragement that body fat is being burned, although a low ketone level is preferred as this indicates that sufficient water is being consumed. Ketones can sometimes be detected on the breath. This is only temporary and can be reduced by adequate water intake and mouth rinsing with a mouthwash (ie Oraldene,) or using Listerine mint strips. Because the low sugar level of the diet is critical to maintaining ketosis, it is very important not to eat or drink anything else, apart from your daily servings of Lipotrim formula and approved drinks.
